Yes - you'll want to get a Data SIM card from one of the providers, or you can call them directly and once added to your account, you may be able to get an eSIM. Usually it'll be $10-20/month. Alternatively, if you have Google Fi, you can just order a Data SIM from them and it'll just charge against your data allotment. I've tried both T-Mobile and Google Fi data SIMs in my iPad and both work great.
