“does this have a way i can upload my photos from my camera....i don't see a place on the side to do it or do I need a special adapter?”

• The iPad Pro 12.9" has a USB-C port on its side. There are different adapters that you can purchase from Apple, NativeUnion and Belkin to connect other devices, such as a camera. Just make sure that one end of the adapter is a USB-C, not a lightning cable.
