Same problem here. Called Apple and they simply said my unit didn't have the horsepower to handle the most current operating systems. Sooooo I opted to get a new one. Not much choice in the matter unless you don't need what the newer OS offers. My old one works just fine. Whatever the new system offers I guess I didn't need cause I'm not missing it. This Mac does everything I need it to do, so why did I get a new one - heck if I know!!!
