I've had mine for less than a month and plan to use mine for creating music and videos. It is much faster and has much more memory than my old Windows PC, which was used for same purposes. It should work well unless you plan on making full length motion pictures, then you may need to invest in higher models.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use mine for extensive CAD, Photoshop, and digital graphics... I have never filled up the hard drive and my 6 year old original still works just as well. You’ll fall in love with this machine... I promise you that!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on the sophistication of your project requirements. Take a look at the recommended memory requirements of the software you want to use. If it meets those or can be upgraded to the level recommended, it should work fine. Many students start out with laptops configured similarly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not a video/graphic design person but I believe these specs are probably fine - but would recommend the iMac with Retina display for clearer visuals The only downside is that I've had this model iMac for almost 2yrs, wiped hard drive... twice?, and it's already starting to show signs of slowing down. I don't use storage or RAM-intensive programs on it so just something to keep in mind
