KK, you are all set. It comes with mouse and keyboard so you need nothing else. Perhaps an external CD/DVD drive if you need one. It does not need to be Apple branded. Pease see my review for other details. Yes- this is cheaper than a Pro and has the screen built in so it is an all-in-one unit, with great resale value so many of these have ended up on eBay and helped finance the next Mr. Rheydt.

External DVD drive. iMacs no longer have built in DVD drives. 2. External speakers. The computer does come with built-in speakers, but as with all computers, they are relatively low quality. (I have Edifier e10 speakers that are fairly low budget and sound great for the price.) 3. USB hub. The only USB ports are on the back, rather inconveniently located if there are accessories such as a flash drive that you regularly plug in and out. 4. Numeric keyboard. The standard keyboard no longer has a numeric keypad integrated into it. However, I believe that if you order your computer from Apple, it comes with an integrated keypad. 5. Apple's website shows that shows that a Magic Trackpad 2 is included. However, the computer I bought at Best Buy did not have one. (I have had my computer three months, so it is possible that all these computers now have a trackpad included. Check with Best Buy.)
