Yes, it is upgradeable per the Apple website, but only by an authorized Apple service tech. it is not user upgradeable, although the 27" models are.

You can upgrade the RAM. You can add more to what you get (comes with 4 slots) or replace with higher amount. There are videos to show you how - it's pretty simple.
