This is the 2017 model.

I bought this exact computer with the exact specs in August of 2017, for surprisingly not much more than the current price. However, I can tell you this: $1,500 is a decent amount of money but not unreasonable, and if you want to do some video editing or other heavy applications, don't pay for the upgraded RAM. Do like I did a few months ago and install some new memory cards yourself. Two 16-gig cards at about $150 for the both, and about 10 minutes of work (eight minutes of which was watching a video explaining the process), and I'm rocking 40 gigs of RAM on this thing. The only thing that might be a problem in a few years is the i5 processor, but even that is upgradable (though not so easy as the RAM, but in a few years a couple hundred bucks to a professional and you've got a top-end computer again). It's a good purchase; I don't think we'll have these options to upgrade much longer.
