No, this does not have a disk drive - everything is downloaded by a code to your computer . For ex: We purchased Microsoft Office at Best Buy - You are given a small square gift card that has a code on it - On the card you are directed to go to a specific website and put the code in that is on the card - Microsoft Office will then download right to your computer. No it does not have a built in DVD/CD drive, but I purchased the Apple Superdrive player for less than $100 at the time of purchase and am very happy with it. I did have the iMac with the built in DVD drive before and must admit that one reason I didn't upgrade (other than the fact that I had no need to upgrade), was the lack of the built in DVD player.
