- Answer BB will do it but for a fee. I called Apple and they told me how to do it. They will walk you through it and for free. You have 90 days of AppleCare. I purchased it for 3 years for $169. Hope this helps.

- Answer At the time I bought my iMAC, I was looking for the i7, also. Best Buy only stocked the i5 and I would have had to go to Apple, which wasn't convenient. For what I do as an artist, i5 is plenty, which is a delightful surprise. I'm keeping it! Hope this helps.

QuestionThe heading for this iMac says 2TB Fusion Drive but the specifications say it has an SSD (Solid State Drive). Which is it? And if it is an SSD drive what capacity does it have?

- Answer The 2TB Fusion drive is a 128GB SSD combined with an ~ 1.85TB Spinning hard drive. Apple uses software to put most of the operating system as well as your most commonly used files onto the SSD portion for fast retrieval. PLEASE NOTE: The 1TB fusion drive only has 24GB SSD which is why I am in the process of taking my 1TB iMac back to bestbuy to swap for this model with the 2TB fusion drive.

QuestionDoes this computer have an HDMI (female) port? Is there a possible converter attachment to use with this computer? I need this computer to work with my Wacom Cintiq 13HD tablet. The HDMI cable is the first one pictured on the left.

- Answer It does not have an HDMI connection. I used a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to HDMI adapter to connect a second monitor and it works great. The connections are on the back side of the unit so they can be a little bit of a pain to plug and unplug.

QuestionI need a workhorse to edit and process big chunky 4K video files. How much RAM do I need to upgrade to do that comfortably and what would a ballpark cost be to get it to 32 or 64 of RAM? Ballparks is all I am looking for.......

- Answer It will work out of the box, but to max out ram to 64 gigs, self installed ( which is easy) your looking at about $200. Remember macs ultilize Ram much differently then a PC. It’s like a hybrid car vs a gas car, the Mac optimizes the ram, little goes a long way. I’m running 8 gigs, and am using some power heavy software such as photoshop and premiere.

- Answer It does not include any of these programs. Photoshop and Illustrator are products by Adobe. Final Cut Pro 6 will not work on Mac OS Sierra, which is pre-installed on this machine. You will need to upgrade to Final Cut X or some other video editing software. It is worth it because you're missing a great deal of modern features in FCP6.

- Answer It doesn't have a CD-DVD slot. When you buy apps, you buy them over the internet and download them. You need to buy an external DVD drive and connect it to the USB port. Apple sells a USB SuperDrive which should work. Make sure it will work at the store before you buy it.

QuestionWhat is the difference between solid state and fusion drive

- Answer The difference between a solid state (SSD) and a fusion drive is that the solid state drive is a 100% Flash memory just like an SD card with no moving parts which is why it's called solid state they're extremely fast and are great for video editing and other tasks that require such fast memory usage. The fusion drive is like a regular spinning hard drive that also has some Flash memory in it for tasks that would require faster memory the drive is able to store certain files on the Flash part. One thing I noticed is the 1TB fusion drive has way less Flash then the 2TB fusion drive so in my opinion the 2TB fusion drive is worth the upgrade.

- Answer Get 3rd party memory upgrades for your imac, and install yourself, takes about 30 seconds, so easy...I bought an additional 32g for a total of 40 with the stock 8 for under $300...The stock 8gb is two 4gb chips, you have two more slots...

- Answer They are the latest keyboard and mouse from Apple. The best thing about them is they are now rechargeable via a lightning cable so you do not need to buy batteries for them again.
