Q: QuestionMy 6 year old Mac Mini has an Intel Core i7 with a 2.3 GHz processor speed. It is very slow starting up. Will the Intel i5 (3.8GHz) as pictured above solve this problem or will I need to look for an Intel Core i7?
Asked by Sal.
- A:Answer Sal, this sounds like a late 2012 Mac Mini. It will be slow starting up if you have the stock 1 TB 5400 RPM hard drive that the computer originally shipped with. I purchased a 480 GB SSD from Other World Computing (OWC) and got great use out of that for 4 more years until I sold the Mini in January 2017.

Asked by rusto.
- A:Answer Yes, although I'm having some problems with some Internet sites that don't recognize it for some reason; others do, so I suspect it's a problem at THEIR end, not with the Mac cam itself.
