“I’ve alway heard Apple IMac never gets a virus it’s this true. two questions 1st Do I need antivirus software for this iMac if so which Antivirus is recommended 2nd Am I better off plugging the iMac directly to the modem or is connecting to wifi ok”

I’ve owned Macs since 1995 and have never had a virus - not to say it couldn’t happen. It’s possible to get a virus, but generally the Mac operating system is complex, making it difficult for hackers to hack, so they go for easier targets like PCs. I still get phishing attempts in email tho, and I’m sure to keep my operating system updated when prompted.
