Yes it does contain an SSD sort of..... The fusion drive is a combination of a SSD and a rotating platter type drive. The 1tb fusion drive currently has a 24gb SSD and 1 1tb regular drive. Hope this helps.

The 1TB fusion drive has a small solid state element of 24 GB. This is enough to contain the operating system, which will improve boots. The 2TB fusion drive has a 128GB solid state element, which would allow you to support more programs. You can find custom Macs with SSD drives, but they cost more. I suspect they will abandon fusion drives and traditional hard drives in a future version.
