Yes it does contain an SSD sort of..... The fusion drive is a combination of a SSD and a rotating platter type drive. The 1tb fusion drive currently has a 24gb SSD and 1 1tb regular drive. Hope this helps.

This is a fusion drive. That means it has a conventional hard drive but has a front end drive for stuff that you would most commonly use that is s solid state drive for quicker response.

This is enough to contain the operating system, which will improve boots. The 2TB fusion drive has a 128GB solid state element, which would allow you to support more programs. You can find custom Macs with SSD drives, but they cost more. I suspect they will abandon fusion drives and traditional hard drives in a future version.

ummmmm, no. thats why it says it has a fusion drive. the fusion drive is partial ssd so you have all your startups quicker. but mostly no, no it is not. i can ask doc brown to explain it better if you need?
