“Will this unlocked version, work on verizon? The unlocked version seems to be cheaper than the verizon version”

Yes, I have Verizon service on mine. You just stop by a Verizon store and they pop in a SIM card for their service.

All iPad and iPhones come unlocked. They will work on any carrier
