• we just did this a month back its a new payment plan for the iPad added to your old payment plan or bill. Both plans will finalize at their original times separately from each other.

• Yes. In my experience, Best Buy, with my permission, accessed my current Verizon account and was able to swap out the old iPad with a new one, and allow me to continue with my existing plan.
