As far as I know, No. There is a live listen function where you can listen to things from the mic on your phone but it pics up everything. So it does work if you are watching a movie, but it doesn’t if you are trying to have a conversation because it picks up your voice and every little movement your phone makes.

No, it is a pair of headphones with external sound attenuation capabilities, not sound amplifier.
