My AirPods (2nd gen.) came with a Lightning to USB-A cable. It's wrapped behind the packaging that holds the AirPod case, so there should be a pull tab to access them. AirPods do not come with an adapter, though, since it presumes you have one for your phone.

I just bought mine at Apple and their is a charger in side you have to pull up where the tab is underneath the AirPods and case is.

No they do not come with charging cable as it’s the standard cable used to charge most Apple products
