Can one recharge the same batteries forever? null

No, the batteries in this charger can last up to 10 years.

No, but the last a long time between recharging. The two batteries in the keyboard and the two in the 'magic pad' have both lasted over a month and because six batteries are given, when the keyboard batteries needed charging, the last two were all charged up ready to go - no downtime waiting for a charge - Brillant! High quality batteries - Apple wouldn't offer less. Check the Apple website for the estimation. At least 1000 recharge cycles, probably more. My other recharge batteries only lasted a few weeks per charge, though they were a lot older.
