Not necessarily. We had ordered 2 pair of these and one of them came already disconnected and the other didn't. It was not a big deal to get them reset and pair them with my son's phone though.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't speak for every pair but the pair I purchased for my daughter was and we had no issues connecting them. From my experiences with Best Buy they stand behind the products they sell, if for some reason the device is locked just take them back and I'm sure they will make it right.
