“What typical constitutes 'refurbishing'? Was there something physically, technically, or functionally wrong with the buds and that's why they were returned? As well, are the silicone earpieces replaced? I'd hope that we would not be getting opened ones.”

Mine looked new . The cable was never used still wrapped as well as the different size silicone earpieces . They look & work as if I bought them new . I figure probably a Christmas gift someone returned for the $$ ! They sound great & a nice fit . I hope this helps you !
