• No. It can only be paired with another HomePod mini.

• Even if you could, the sound presence of a Homepod is much different than that of the mini, which would be a "customer noticeable" difference. I could not imagine being able to tolerate the difference for more than 5 minutes. You would really need to manually play with the Homepod audio settings to get it as close as possible, even if it were possible.

• My understanding is that the HomePod mini can only be paired to form a stereo pair with another HomePod mini not with the original HomePod.

• You can pair two HomePod Minis together for stereo sound but cannot pair a Mini with the regular HomePod.
