Hi, 32 GB is enough memory but it still depends what is going to be used for specially for a college student I'm sure they like to store lots of stuff to their devices if I was you for a college student I would personally recommend the 128GB since the price is so good right now just for another $100 you are getting 3x more the memory that's not a bad deal my daughter is only 5 so that's why I just bought the 32GB that's more then enough for her.
