“I bought this and cannot see Verizon as a Cellular carrier. can i not add this iPad to my Verizon account??”

You have to go to settings and set up the cellular but I think you still need the verizon SIM card. Best bet would be to take to verizon as they need to give you a verizon SIM card. I believe it is the only one where you actually have to get a verizon SIM, at least that is what we have done in the past.
