• You can call your carrier and add it to your contract or your best buy representative will help you with it in store as they deal with the major carriers already.

• I'm assuming you are referring to a cellular carrier in mo, it has to be the iPad with the 3G. I use wifi and tether with my phone

• If you have an iPhone, then no need to add another cellular line to pay for. Use your iPhone to connect to cellular

• The best option is simply to take it in to the mobile carrier for which it has a SIM and let them do it but you are usually also able to do it in the settings tab on the 'general' app icon
