GBs tell you how much space for storage you have. Things like photos, music, movies, some apps, and games can take up a lot of room on your device. If you don't really download much, and only surf the net or stream music and movies only, then you don't need a lot of storage. However, 64GB fills up faster than you think, and storage can't be upgraded later. If you can afford the extra $100+, get the 256GB. Unless you're a super downloader, that should be more than enough storage.
