• The 2 year contract is for the Cellular Data Plan. This particular iPad is WiFi and Cellular. It will normally operate on WiFi, but when no WiFi signal is available and/or to be more secure when browsing the internet you will need to use a Cellular data plan to connect to the internet.

• I already have a Verizon cellular plan through my business. I don't need another one, so can't I just pay for it without a 2 year contract?
