Yes, but you'd need to engage Sprint (T-Mobile) to unlock the device. They typically won't do that unless it's fully paid for.

If you are on a payment plan or buy it “locked”, then you would have to get it “unlocked” before you move to another carrier. It is a decent phone but I would have bought the new SE version of the iPhone, had I done more research.
