This questions is more suitable for Verizon not BestBuy but after you make all 24 payments (100% of the device) the device is yours.

Yes, after you have payed off the full amount of the device, over a 24 month period or shorter if you wish, the phone is yours. You can sell it, keep it, trade it in, etc.

As far as I know you own the phone after 24 months. It is paid in full. You can keep it or even trade it in on a new one, then your monthly payment would start again if you buy a new one. Payment goes down after paid off. I got the new phone and my husband took my old I phone 8 and we traded his 7 in on my phone.
