• No. The only way you can buy a new iPhone unlocked is through Apple directly.

• Yes you can. I dont know why AI and people were saying you cant. But even if you get a phone with a carrier you can still replace the chip with a non-carrier one. I collect phones so i can answer many questions without bias.

• You'll need to go to the store. In my area SW Florida, they sold them unlocked. Call them first before you go.
