I also got a new charging block but no new cord. The new charging block doesn’t work with the old cord so I’m using my old charging block and cord and it’s charging my new iPhone fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The charging is no different than the iPhone 12 and 13. You'll just want a power adapter than can do 20 Watts to maximize the charging rate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The new cable that comes in the box is lightning to USB-C, and yes it requires a new block if you haven't purchased one since before the iphone 12. However you can still use your old USB blocks using the older USB-Lightning cables. The new ones do charge significantly faster though.

That said, you can continue using the a USB block with a USB to Lightning cord, OR if you do decide to use a USB-C charging block, you can get a USB-C to Lightning cord to charge phone. If the USB-C block some with a USB-C to USB-C cord, then you can purchase a mini USB-C to Lightning adapter for the end of the cord that plugs into your iPhone. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is true. Inside the box you’ll get a usb c cord and no charging brick. I’d recommend using the type c so you get the fast charging. Best Buy has charging bricks for around $15.
