A:AnswerYou should choose the carrier that you want the phone activated with. If you pay for the phone in full when u buy it then it will be unlocked and you can take it to any carrier you wish and they will give u their sim card. If u do payment plan then it will not be unlocked until it is paid in full. This is why my husband and I always buy from Best Buy, pay in full, have it activated with T-Mobile but if tomorrow I want to switch to ATT them I can do so tomorrow if I want to. You don’t get any discount by making payments but of course not everyone can just pay in full up front.
