You can trade in your old phone if you wish to sign a 2 year contract. Be aware that the value of your IPhone will fluctuate depending on store and time of year. ( Value where I am from was 160 in November and it is about 75 now)
Or, you can keep your phone. ( sell it on EBay) which I sold for 225.00. And bought the 6plus on the next plan.

Absolutely yes!! I had the 5 and traded mine in as well. Best Buy gave me $225 credit towards my iPhone 6+. I barely paid anything since I was due for an upgrade as well. Can't beat that for any new phone

The do a buy back program with your phone if it's in good shape.

Yes you can sell your phone to Best Buy and they will give you a best buy gift card. If you go and sell to your carrier they will credit your bill.
