Try resetting to factory setting and only do upgrades as far as you have to. The higher the upgrade in software the more your battery will drain & your phone will be slowed

I don’t know if the geek squad will replace batteries, but I do know that when you get a new phone you can get your information transferred to it. Typically when you get your new phone, they can transfer the pictures, videos and contacts right there. 

If you want a full back up, including the apps, you should plug it into a computer and use iTunes to perform a full back up. Then when you get your new phone, plug it into the same computer and restore your back up. You will have all your apps, all your contacts, all your pictures, all your videos etc.
