• You could pay the several hundred dollars outright if you just want the phone and provide your own plan. Look for a phone that is not attached to one of the big cell phone services. It should be offered as "unlocked". This means it does not go along with a specific company. Just make sure that the service/network that you use supports this phone.

• You may want to check with Apple to just buy the device! With the wireless companies you will need an account

• Unfortunately you have to pay retail price while with US carrier like T-Mobile or AT&T you get installment plan.
