• You can transfer the information if on the icloud or on a email account . Yes you can keep you number if you stay with the carrier or transfer to another carrier before you cancel the service

• no you can NOT KEEP your number but you can have them transfer contacts..I wanted to transfer my old AT & T number but they said I could not since it waS A designated # that I had transferred from AT&T to a new carrier & just wanted to transfer back

• If you had a iPhone, just sign in with your icloud and everything should back up, it's another phone, there is a way, just have to get in contact with your carrier.
