• Yes, it will. You will notice that the battery indicator begins to drop below 100% when the backup battery is exhausted and the main battery is in use. You can also set a notification to show the status of both batteries on the main screen

• No the case battery is drained first keeping the iPhone constantly at 100% until the case runs out then it relies on the iPhone battery.
