I’m not up to date on all the different cellular services but I imagine you could use whatever current cellular service you have depending on a contract you may or may not have. I’m not on any contract and I’m purchasing my phone to own, which through Verizon they want you to break down the payment for 24 months. I’ve been a longtime Verizon customer and I don’t want to change my service, typically I keep the same phone for several years 3+.
