• The difference is in the engine. Same car, new engine. Faster processor, WiFi 6 capable (much faster WiFi) more memory. Oh and way cheaper price tag. Hat the main thing Apple looked to achieve with this phone. Re using existing parts to cut costs and give low entry consumer access To their products
