It is dual-SIM capability. One physical Nano SIM (in slot) and e-SIM built in. The latter is fairly new with only about ten countries supported. You can always switch your 'primary' to e-SIM and reserve the physical slot for secondary when traveling. Makes it easier to purchase a SIM if a carrier or country you're in doesn't support e-SIM
