- Answer Carriers all have their own policies for establishing an account for customers. It has nothing to do with credit card companies. You essentially finance the phone through the carrier interest free.

- Answer As long as the model is compatible with Cricket, you will be able to use it on that network after 14 days with AT&T. You will go to the AT&T unlock request website and apply for an unlock. You will still be responsible for the installment payments every month which will be reflected on your AT&T account as usual.
