A:AnswerNo, if you use wifi you have no additional fees for a iPod touch. If you use all "FREE" apps, music and movies there is never another charge...of course you can always pay for additional apps from their store.
A:AnswerSo a 3 to a 4-minute song is roughly 4mb. There is 1028mb in 1gb. So 1028mb divided by 4mb (per song) you can hold roughly 250 songs in 1gb. So a 32 GB can hold roughly 8000 songs. a 16 can hold about 4000 songs. Because the unit comes pre-installed with apps a 16gb is really like 12 GB with everything preinstalled. a 32 is more like 24gb of free space. Everything pre-installed is Bloatware. Or things that you may or may not need. Eating up space. that is if it is only songs. Now if you add apps/Videos and other things the number drops a lot less. Especially if you have a 5 min music Video for example. They take up a lot of room. About 4gb a video so. It all depends on what you need it for. Also when you run out of memory With apple that is it. You can't add an SD micro card like you can with Android.
A:AnswerYes - it works great for Audio Books. That's why I purchased it. If you go to your local library (at least here in the US), they will help you with a free app (ours uses Overdrive) where you can use your library account online to checkout audio books. That app gives you options of 7, 14, 21 day checkouts. You just download them over Wi-Fi then listen anytime (no Wi-Fi needed). Then digitally return them to library and get new ones. Another app called Audio Books has a lot of free options but via the library gets you newer options.
A:AnswerI would purchase an mp3 player only if you are not interested in the other features included with a phone. For example, most mp3 players do not have cameras or the ability to shoot videos or access the internet. The ipod touch is an mp3 player that does include all these features, if that's what you're looking for. The only real difference that I've seen in my ipod touch and an iphone is the ipod cannot make phone calls. It can text when connected to a wireless network and make facetime calls.
I hope this helps. It really just depends on what you're looking for in an electronic device.
