No this is an HDMI out product, i would recommend a flash drive that plugs directly into the phone and just remove the life proof case

I don't think it works with flash drive. It is made only for Audio and Video transmission to TV / monitor.

If you have a LifeProof case without a battery, you should be able to buy a SanDisk lightning to USB drive to backup your phone provided you can access the lightning port on the iPhone. Here’s an example of the 32 gigabyte drive by SanDisk. Model: SDIX30C-032G-AN6NN SKU: 5061603. They come in a few different sizes. Use the SKU in the search field on Best Buy’s website to find the item online or in the store.
