If you have an IPhone you already have a charger. You plug the charging cord into the lightening slot on the adapter, the adapter goes into the iPhone, and you need a cord to run from adapter to tv. The tv cord you use depends on which input you will use. I use HDMI. Otherwise the adapter itself does not need to be charged, it allows for you to keep phone charged up while using. If you are having trouble I’m sure the geeks at Best Buy will help. If you have a charging station that you lay the phone on, move it closer the tv and set phone on that while using.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The charging port is the slit right next to the HDMI slit. You take your lightning charger that came with your ( iphone/ipad/ipod ) and plug it in to the HDMI adapter then plug it into the wall. You only need that if you need to charge the device you are streaming from ( iphone/ipad/ipod ) I used mine without it until the battery on my iphone got low then i would plug it in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's the lighting connection port where you charge your phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don’t need a separate charger to use the adapter. Hook up the adapter and then plug your charger into the charging port just like you would your device and it will allow you to use the adapter without draining all the power from your device.
