Yes. Stream from iPhone to HDTV through HDMI. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus Live TV, YouTube, etc. I don’t about HBO Go.

Works perfect for all the of these apps will mirror the app until you play the video then it will show the video on the tv and a controller on your phone or iPad

I have used all of those streaming applications with no issues to report. The only issue i had was with Hulu back in 2017. When trying to play a show from Hulu, it would show commercials but not actual movie or show content. The content would be black screen but you could still hear audio. However, as of a recent Hulu update, this problem has been fixed. 
If you run Hulu, make sure your Hulu app is up to date and you shouldnt run into any issues.

I had no trouble using this adapter with the NetFlix app. I can't imagine any of the others would give you any trouble.
