• Sometimes I have found that I have to turn it off silent, if it was on silent. If that doesn't work, maybe there is something stuck in the port? If it still doesn't work, I would take it into GeekSquad.

• Then you will have to do some diagnosis. Do the headphones work on another device without using the dongle? Is the jack fully inserted in the dongle and in the iphone or device? Suspect lightning jack on phone or device.
