Does this work for a microphone null

Be very careful. Some adapters connect headphones; some connect headphones AND microphones (Too good to be true but they CAN work. Replacing one right now...will post what I find)

Yes, it will. I have a mic and use it with my iPhone.

Yes it should work just fine although it has a male plug on both ends.
