Doesn’t hurt to try. It only cost $10.00 and runs through the lightning charger port . For more product questions you could always ask a Geek Squad member .

This works with the lightning port on your iphone 6. Your Aux cable is a different issue...

Unfortunately the adapter only works with the iPhone 7. If you have an iPhone 6S and use a lifeproof case, contact lifeproof and they will send you out another adapter so you can use your headset without taking the case off the phone.
