Can an old iMac be used as a monitor? null

not 100% sure but don't think so

As far as I know, not without some specific parts and electronics know-how. There are some videos online. Not impossible, but maybe not as plug-and-play as you may be hoping.

No - aside from the fact the iMac most likely does not have a good input option , the graphics would not be displayed correctly . Spend the money to get a small monitor
