I use it for video editing for my YouTube channel but I don't do nothing too crazy either so if you do crazy heavy video edititinb definitely get the MacBook Pro but this works for me plus it has no fan so you won't have to worry about that kicking in when you do voice overs

If you plan on using any VFX programs like After Effects or Nuke, then I would recommend a stronger computer. Keep in mind that it doesnt have a card reader or USB for importing footage. You would need an adapter for that.
