I purchased this Macbook Air for my daughter & it was the 2019. We returned it & ordered from Apple online as theirs was a better price and it included free AirPods... and most importantly, I was told by them that they would only sell the most recent model. It was back ordered & took 3 weeks to get here though...but that was the machine we wanted, so it was worth the wait for us. The way to know for sure if a model is a 2019 vs a 2020 is the arrow keys. My daughter knew as soon as she opened it that they sent us a 2019 model. Hope this helps!
