A:AnswerAs far as I know 8GB applies to RAM and not SSD. RAM basically determines how quickly and smoothly your computer can switch between tasks and handle commands. While external hard drives and storage increase SSD (from 512 on this model to anything higher), there is no way to increase RAM. You can’t add to that bit of storage. MacBook Pros have more RAM but are more expensive.
A:AnswerThis product will absolutely handle what you are asking. I wouldn't buy it if that was the MAIN thing I was going to use if for, as it gets hot when performing intense tasks. If you're going to be editing video every day, I would move to the MacBook Pro. For the occasional family movie, the MacBook Air will be just fine. I bought this as a second/travel laptop a few weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with it. MacOS is amazing, the system is very fast, and the new keyboard is an absolute dream to type on. Nothing else I've tried even comes close.
A:AnswerYes. I have the 2020 MacBook Air, but the Pro will also work with a mouse. Super easy to pair it with bluetooth. What I have found though is that the trackpad is so good, that I use it more than I use the mouse.
A:AnswerHello CBTC
Yes, it is great for playing music and microphone use. I use spotify, edit small videos on this computer and connect to online meetings. I hope this was able to help you.
